  • BLACK BUTTE VACATION HOME

GD was asked to transform a house in Black Butte into a stylized custom vacation getaway. Using Central Oregon themes of camping and outdoor activities as well as taking cues from local geography, we affected nearly every space of the house from the kids' room to the stairway, and the dining area to exterior decor.

Our work included (but wasn't limited to!) printed stair risers, steel and leather stair rail, custom embroidered ottoman and pillows, custom built antler chandelier, axe handle holds and decor, a lantern chandelier, custom wood round wall in the playroom, lasered lightswithch plates, and the creation of custom family logos that embellished the space.

  • Jordan at the Vault - GDLA

Last October, GD's sunnier counterpart in Los Angeles outfitted Nike's Vault with everything Jordan revolving around the release of the CP3 VII shoe. The Vault is an oblong space located directly adjacent to the Staples Center, and is open to the public during NBA games. There is a customization counter, retail space, and a VIP area for Nike athletes to visit.

This project, like all, began with 3d renders of the space to show colors, materials, and layout.

By the end of the buildout, this space was a kick ass, CP3-themed hangout complete with a custom Jordan Brand rug, a custom photobooth for visitors to take thier picture in, and an elephant skin wall that glowed under black light.

Be sure to click on over to GDLA's site to see more of the cool spaces they outfit in the City of Angels.

  • DIGITAL TRENDS - NEW YORK, NY

With an office in the city that is so great they named it twice, Digital Trends is an online tech, gadget and product review website. These guys have used, tested and reviewed smartphones, sportscars, and everything in between.

GD was introduced to DT's Portland office crew, who expressed the need for a makeover of their New York office. We affected a few key areas to create an upbeat work space that fit in NYC while also giving a strong nod to the company's Portland roots.

The waiting area and entry space was skinned in reclaimed wood strips that were stained and painted with color pops. The main meeting room is cloaked in a cut vinyl map of New York, complete with subway routes and stops. GD brought in furniture and decor, including two custom pixel portraits of the founders.

Check these guys out online for some kick ass reviews of anything tech.

  • SUPER BOWL 48

New York and New Jersey co-hosted the Super Bowl this year, setting the scene with an open-air stadium, an urban industrial take on football, and all the hustle that comes along with The Big Apple.

GD designed, fabricated, installed, and ran the Nike Football Hospitality Suite just outside of Times Square in a charming painted brick and exposed pipe space. An ultra sleek lounge was created with custom geometric tables, chromed bar, and white-washed furniture. Larger than life athlete graphics lined the walls and were integrated with Nike Brand imagery and apparel.
